Mark’s style of teaching is relaxed and incorporates years of experience. His years of teaching have given him an understanding that people learn differently and no two students are exactly alike. What this means is that lessons are tailored to each student in order to meet them at their level of ability and comprehension.

Students may lean towards being more Visual Learners, Auditory Learners, Kinesthetic Learners or a combination thereof which is what makes drumming a fantastic vehicle to increasing brain function. As is said, "Neurons that fire together, wire together." For example: Mark employs having a student read drum notation while singing and playing the rhythm on the drum set.

Perhaps more importantly is Mark’s ability to tap into his student’s desire to play drums, keeping it fun while he helps them move towards mastery of the instrument.

Traditional genres and styles taught are:

  • Jazz Drums
  • Rock Drums
  • Funk Drums
  • R&B Drums
  • Latin Drums
  • Rudimental Drums
